Welcome to Spark's Pictures
Official Kids Corner Photographer Mark "Spark" Wilkens has been a longtime friend of Kids Corner and, as a Kids Corner operator has answered thousands of calls from kids over the past 20 years of volunteering! Additionally, Spark is quite the photographer and often joins Kathy at regional events and concerts for the family. On this page we'll be posting some of Spark's Pictures from those events! Enjoy!
To reach Spark just click HERE - we'll make sure that he gets your message!
Spark was at the opening of the 2010 Philadelphia International Flower Show - along with thousands of adults (and kids), celebrating the joy of nature! The Philadelphia International Flower Show is on display until March 7 - for details, visit http://theflowershow.com - Enjoy!
Spark joined us at the 2009 XPoNential Music Festival - in the beautiful Kids Corner Garden - normally the even more beautiful Camden Children's Garden! Here's just some of the great pictures Spark took! Enjoy!
Spark joined us at the Kids Corner Mural dedication and performance on Saturday, June 13 - click HERE to learn more about the mural - below are some pictures from the event which features John Flynn and Kathy O'Connell.
Spark joined other art fans at the 15th annual opening of Kids Care at the Woodmere Art Museum on November 9. Hundreds of kids from around the region worked together to create over one thousand pieces of art that will be on exhibit at the Woodmere until December 22 - where they will be taken down, gift wrapped and delivered (along with a nutritious holiday meal) on Christmas Day, to a client of MANNA, the Metropolitian AIDS Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance. Kids Care is designed to allow kids the chance to show those living with HIV/AIDS that they indeed do care! At our opening reception we were grateful to have The Philadelphia Boys Choir join us to perform several numbers in the grand rotunda within the Woodmere!
Each year Kids Care has a one-word theme that helps direct the students and teachers in creating whatever they desire. This year's theme word was HEARTBEATS.
