The Kids Corner Memory Bank
Kids Corner was the phoenix that rose from the ashes of "Kids America", a national show that Kathy O'Connell co-hosted and that WXPN had just started to carry in the fall of 1987. By Christmas Eve the national show ended and WXPN was left with a hole in its programming schedule. Management stepped up and made the commitment to the voice of kids throughout our region and Kids Corner began January 4, 1988.
As we enter 2008, we are proud to celebrate twenty years of Kids Corner! Throughout this year, we are gathering personal memories from those who grew up with the show. Perhaps it was that first time you heard "Fish Heads" or "Star Trekkin'", or maybe the first time you spoke with Kathy on the air.
Whether you are an adult who listened years ago or a kid listening today - we all have memories of that first time listening to Kids Corner. This is your chance to share your personal story about Kids Corner and your childhood!
Help us celebrate the first 20 years of Kids Corner!!
